How often should I clean my dryer vent?

We recommend a professional cleaning at least once a year. If you have a large family, pets, or use the dryer frequently, you might need it every 6-9 months.

How do I know if my dryer vent is clogged?

Look out for these signs:

  • Clothes remain damp after a standard drying cycle.
  • The top of the dryer gets very hot to the touch.
  • You smell something burning when the dryer is on.
  • The outside vent hood flap doesn't open when the dryer is running.
Does air duct cleaning make a mess?

Not when done by professionals. We use a powerful negative pressure vacuum system that pulls dust directly from the vents into our containment unit. We also use drop cloths and wear shoe covers to protect your home.

How long does the service take?

A standard dryer vent cleaning usually takes 45 to 60 minutes. A full air duct cleaning for an average-sized home takes between 2 to 4 hours, depending on the number of vents and the system's condition.

Do you clean the vent from the inside or outside?

Ideally, we clean from both ends. We clean from the dryer connection inside the house and from the termination point outside (or on the roof) to ensure the entire line is clear.
